As mentioned in our most recent post, we just finished a really unique wine rack for a realtor in the DC area. We know that the future homeowner of the newly renovated house is going to love their custom built-in! Here is how it looked after installation! K+A has an excellent partnership with MAD Properties, which tasks us to make furniture, shelving, and kitchen/bathroom pieces for a real estate agent who restores DC properties before they go on the market. Our usual orders are for kitchen shelving, bases for bathroom sinks, and other furniture that will not only stage the house beautifully … Continue reading MAD Wine Designs
We had not made a traditional farm table in several months when we got the order in for this table. It was fun to get to go back to the basics and create a piece similar to what got me started making furniture full-time! Needless to say, I have come a long way since the … Continue reading The K Street Modern Industrial Farm Table

We recently designed a new round table for our upcoming website launch. I love being able to come up with a new design and get it into production within a few days. This table was conceived while sitting at my dining room table (reclaimed of course) and the next morning we executed the design. This … Continue reading New Table Design
We were asked by the owner of Bindle & Keep in Brooklyn to design furniture for his new work space. We were very excited to come up with a unique one of a kind line for Daniel. We recently designed this wine bar using 150 year old reclaimed heart pine. We decided to use a welded steel base to give it a more modern and industrial feel. I was contacted last month by Simpson Strong-Tie to take part in their DIY Done Right Campaign. I jumped at the opportunity, since we were in desperate need of additional organization in our workshop! We desperately needed a shipping and receiving area, so we could quickly process website orders. Simpson sent us two kits and $50 to Home Depot to create whatever we wanted! Bryan came up with a design that maximized every square inch of available space we had.The project took us an afternoon to complete. The kits are very easy to use!
The best part is one lucky follower will get a kit and $100 to Home Depot to get their DIY on! Who doesn’t love free?! Additionally, Simpson will be giving away $2000 worth of powertools and hardware!
One of our biggest sellers is our line of vintage lighting. Each one is hand made on our lathe, so no two are alike! We use vintage reproduction sockets, plugs and wiring.
All of our wood handles are made from locally sourced reclaimed lumber and hardwoods that were felled in storms.
